About the Author
"Seetharamalu Kaveti is an experienced consultant, researcher and teacher in the areas of Tall buildings, Shells and Folded plates. He has taught at various institutes like IIT Roorkee, IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi from 1958 to 1994. His structural modeling of various consultancies reflects his research experiences in Applied Finite Element Analysis. He developed a model of Mero structural system for proto type model testing in the structural laboratory of the IIT Delhi and a prototype testing of precast folded plates and RC domical shell at IIT Bombay. These experiences are effectively reflected in this book. The IIT Delhi during the Golden Jubilee year 2010-11 conferred on him “The Distinguished Service award”. He has guided many doctoral theses, and published several technical papers on skeletal structures and tall buildings in prominent national and international journals."
